Business Development Manager

We seek an enthusiastic professional to join our close-knit Sales Team in promoting and selling the suite of Apparel 21 products and services to prospective customers.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, engaging and ultimately closing new business opportunities in our target markets. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will be required to achieve allocated sales targets, and ensure a sound commercial relationship is established with prospective customers.

This is a permanent full time position based in our Richmond, Melbourne office. The objective of this role is to assist with setting sales strategies to achieve organizational goals and to further expand our client base through the acquisition of great, like-minded businesses that we can help become more profitable and which can lead to excellent referrals. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Generation of system sales and related products and services
  • Achieve or exceed agreed yearly gross sales targets
  • Presentation and delivery of product demonstrations and pre-sales presentations
  • Liaison and coordination with other internal teams
  • Identify prospective client’s challenges and competitor threats
  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations and proposals
  • Maintain records and produce formal reports outlining key actives, pipeline and performance
  • Produce sales forecasts
  • Maintain consistent, professional customer service both internally and externally
  • National, interstate travel will be required

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business development role of a similar industry
  • Demonstrated experience selling ERP solutions will be highly regarded

Software Tester

We are offering a full-time position within our close-knit Testing Team.

The successful candidate will work within a larger Development team of about 20 people made up of a Product Owner, UI Designer, Business Analysts, Developers and QA / Testers.  We operate in an agile software development environment.  Most of the team are based in our office in Cremorne (“Silicon Yarra”) while some team members operate remotely overseas.

You will be working on a range of web and non-web systems. Our Development team is broken down into small multi-functional teams, working on short duration projects as well as some epic months long projects.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Independent test of new features and corrections
  • Maintain useful test data to support the testing process
  • Take ownership of application quality
  • Liaise with users, Business Analysts and Developers to develop test plans and strategies

As a Support Analyst, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to customer queries via phone and email, using your exceptional customer service skills
  • Problem solving application issues using your product knowledge
  • Developing a broad understanding of a number of modules across our system, so that you are able to deal with a broad range of customer issues
  • Proactively keeping your knowledge up-to-date on changes within the system, particularly within your primary modules
  • Providing professional support to internal teams by giving advice, information and reviewing work where required.

We seek an experienced professional who has at least two years’ experience in a similar role in I.T Support or customer service.

Due to the nature of our solutions, individuals experienced with financial software applications & bookkeeping concepts will be highly regarded. Interpersonal communication skills will be pivotal in our decision for this position. Other required skills and experience include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent
  • 2 years’ + experience in IT support or similar
  • Prior hands on experience with similar software solutions (POS, MYOB, XERO, Quickbooks , SAP, e-commerce & business management solution software)
  • Demonstrated retail and/or accounting experience
  • Demonstrated high level of problem solving skills, technical knowledge about the system and attention to detail.
  • Proven initiative in minimizing the amount of time spent doing repetitive tasks through reporting and communication.
  • Demonstrated high level of independence and ability to work autonomously and think outside of the box to resolve complex issues.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills both written & verbal.
